If you're hearing "oki nam" from a Filipino or Ilocano speaker, they may actually be saying "ukinam" or "ukininam", an Ilocano expression. Its meaning depends heavily on context:

• In casual joking among friends, it can be used like a mild exclamation ("Damn!" or "You little rascal!").
• Literally, it's considered a vulgar curse word in Ilocano, roughly comparable to a stronger profanity in English.
• Some people jokingly claim it means "I love you," but that's generally a humorous euphemism rather than the literal meaning.
